1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. Websites can also use similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, session storage, tags, scripts and pixels. This policy says “cookies and similar technologies” because not everything is a cookie.

3. Our Current Setup
At the time of this update:
- the website loads a Google tag through the Google Site Kit plugin, which measures visits and can set analytics cookies;
- one tool, Note Finder, saves its settings in your browser’s local storage; no other tool saves anything;
- the website loads its font from Google Fonts;
- we do not use Google AdSense or other advertising, and no affiliate tracking;
- the website does not currently include its own cookie-consent tool.
When the home page was requested without logging in, the server did not send any cookie with its response. Cookies set afterwards by scripts running in your browser, such as the Google tag, are covered below.
4. Strictly Necessary Technologies
The website is built on WordPress. We have not identified any cookie that visitors need for the site, its articles or its tools to work. WordPress and its plugins may set cookies for logged-in administrators and, if a form or security feature is used, for that feature. If this changes, we will list those cookies here.
5. Google Tag, Site Kit and Analytics
The Google Site Kit plugin loads a Google tag on the pages of this website. It is used to understand which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, device and browser patterns, referral sources and technical problems. Google may set first-party analytics cookies, typically named _ga and similar, and may process device, browser, network, approximate location and interaction data under its own terms and privacy practices.
Analytics data is not completely anonymous, because it can involve technical identifiers. Which cookies are actually set, and for how long, depends on the Google settings chosen for this website, so we do not publish fixed durations.
6. Microphone Tools and Cookies
The singing tools do not use cookies. The code of Pitch Accuracy Test, Singing Grader, High Note Test, Voice Frequency Test, Singing Note Detector, Voice Type Test, Note Finder, Voice Quality Test, Vocal Scale Finder and Vocal Pitch Changer contains no cookie, session-storage or analytics calls, and it does not send your audio, detected notes or results anywhere. Microphone permission is controlled by your browser and is not a cookie.
Google’s tag on the same page can still record ordinary page-level activity, such as that you opened a tool page. For how audio is handled, see the Privacy Policy. This section describes the tools listed above; if a tool or feature behaves differently, its page says so.
7. Browser Storage (Local Storage)
The Note Finder stores your chosen settings (instrument, note-name style, reference pitch and sensitivity) in local storage under the name nfr-settings. It stays on your device, is not sent to us and contains no recordings. Clear this site’s data in your browser to remove it. The Vocal Pitch Changer keeps recordings and opened files only in the page’s memory while the page is open; it does not write them to browser storage.
8. Forms and Security
We have not confirmed that a contact form is in use; the Contact Us page lists e-mail addresses. If a form or anti-spam feature is added, it may use cookies or similar technologies to submit the form and prevent abuse, and we will list them here.
9. Fonts
The text font (Inter) is loaded from Google Fonts. This is a request to Google’s servers, not a cookie, but it sends your IP address to Google.
10. Consent and Cookie Choices
The website does not currently include its own cookie-consent tool, and the Google tag loads when you visit. You can control it yourself:
- block or delete cookies in your browser settings;
- use a content blocker or your browser’s tracking protection;
- use Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics;
- clear this site’s stored data to remove Note Finder settings.
Blocking optional cookies should not stop the tools or articles from working. If a consent tool is added, we will describe it here and in the Privacy Policy.
11. Session and Persistent Cookies
Session cookies usually disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period or until you delete them. Google analytics cookies are normally persistent; their duration depends on the provider’s settings for this website.

This list reflects what we could confirm from the website’s pages and the tools’ code. It will be updated after a browser-level check of the cookies actually set.
13. Advertising and Affiliate Tracking
At the time of this update, SingingRangeTest.com does not use Google AdSense or other advertising, and does not use affiliate tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy, the Privacy Policy and our consent choices.
14. Third-Party Technologies
Third-party technologies on this website are Google (Site Kit tag and Google Fonts) and Hostinger (hosting and content delivery). We link to our Facebook page, but did not find Facebook or Meta tracking code on the home page. Third parties process information under their own privacy practices.
15. Hostinger and Server Logs
The website is hosted by Hostinger, which may process server logs and technical information to run and secure hosting. Logs are not cookies; they are described in the Privacy Policy.
16. Cookie Retention
Retention depends on the provider and on the settings chosen for this website, so we do not give fixed periods that we cannot verify.
17. Withdrawing or Changing Your Choices
Because the website has no consent tool at present, you manage cookies through your browser or a blocker (see section 10). Removing a cookie does not undo processing that already took place.
18. Children and Cookies
SingingRangeTest.com is a general-audience educational website. We do not use cookies to create advertising profiles. Parents or guardians with concerns can contact support@singingrangetest.com.
19. Changes to This Cookies Policy
We may update this policy when Google settings, consent tools, WordPress or security technologies, advertising, affiliate tracking, cookie names or legal requirements change. Material updates change the Last updated date at the top.
