By using the website, you agree to use it in line with these Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. About SingingRangeTest.com
SingingRangeTest.com is an independent educational website created and maintained by Sam Cooke. It provides browser-based tools and educational content about:
- vocal range;
- pitch and musical notes;
- voice type;
- singing technique;
- voice-related measurements and estimates;
- singer vocal-range research;
- general music and voice education.
The site is intended for personal exploration, education and general information.
2. Use of the Website
You may use the website for lawful personal, educational and informational purposes. You agree not to use it in a way that:
- violates applicable law;
- interferes with normal site operation;
- attempts unauthorised access to systems or data;
- introduces malware or harmful code;
- bypasses security or technical restrictions;
- creates excessive automated requests;
- systematically copies or republishes protected site content without permission;
- falsely represents an affiliation with SingingRangeTest.com;
- presents tool results as official professional or medical certification.
We may take reasonable steps to restrict abusive, harmful or unauthorised use.
3. Use of Tools and Test Results
The tools can produce detected values, calculations, educational estimates, comparisons and voice-related interpretations. These are not all the same kind of information. For example, a detected pitch is converted mathematically into a musical note, while a voice-type result needs interpretation and is only an estimate.
Results can be affected by microphone characteristics, device processing, background noise, signal quality, browser behaviour, your input, singing technique, temporary vocal condition and testing conditions. The tools have been checked with synthetic test signals and simulated microphones, not on every real voice, microphone, phone or browser. Do not assume a result is exact, permanent or professionally certified.

4. Microphone-Based Tools and Your Files
Some tools need microphone access. Your browser or device controls permission, and access is available only after you grant it. You are responsible for the permissions you grant.
The tools listed on the tools page analyse audio in your browser. Their code does not send your audio, notes or results to us, and does not record audio, except that the Vocal Pitch Changer can record you or open an audio file inside the page and processes it on your device. How data is handled, including analytics and browser storage, is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
If you open an audio file in the Vocal Pitch Changer, you confirm that you have the right to use it for that purpose. We do not receive the file.
5. Vocal Safety
Use voice tools sensibly. Do not repeatedly force painful or significantly uncomfortable high or low notes just to increase a displayed range. The software cannot tell whether a note feels painful, strained, healthy, sustainable or comfortable, and you are responsible for deciding when to stop. 6. Educational and Singer Research Content
Articles explain voice, singing, pitch, range and related topics. Singer vocal-range pages are research-based interpretations of available evidence. Singer-range information can be uncertain or disputed, because sources may use different recordings, live performances, registers, vocal effects, isolated extreme notes and interpretations. A documented extreme note is not automatically a singer’s normal or comfortable range. Singer profiles are not official certifications from the artist, label, management, estate or other representative unless explicitly stated. 7. No Professional or Medical Advice
SingingRangeTest.com provides general educational information. It does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, individual voice therapy, professional vocal certification, personal clinical assessment, or individual legal or financial advice. 8. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Using the website does not guarantee a bigger vocal range, better pitch accuracy, better technique, a particular voice type, better vocal health, professional singing results, audition success or career outcomes. Individual results vary.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, original site-specific content and materials are owned by the site operator or used under an appropriate licence. This may include written content, site-specific graphics, interface elements, tool designs, calculations, custom code, branding and page structure. Third-party materials, such as trademarks, artist names, song titles, third-party software, open-source libraries, licensed assets and external media, remain the property of their owners. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of third-party intellectual property to us.
10. Personal Use and Limited Sharing
You may use the website and tools for personal or educational purposes, share links to public pages, quote limited portions where the law permits and with attribution, and save or print limited content for personal reference. Without permission, and except where applicable law allows, you may not republish full articles, reproduce substantial portions of the website, clone or commercially redistribute the tools, remove attribution and present our content as your own, or systematically copy the site for commercial reuse.
11. Automated Access
Automated systems must not create excessive server load, circumvent technical controls, interfere with normal users, systematically reproduce protected content, or attempt unauthorised access. Normal search-engine crawling, accessibility technologies and lawful automated use are not intended to be prohibited when they operate normally and legally.
12. Feedback, Corrections and Submitted Material
You may send corrections, source suggestions, tool feedback, feature requests, screenshots and technical details. By submitting material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and you give us permission to use it as reasonably necessary to investigate an issue, verify a claim, improve a tool, correct content, reply to you and keep appropriate records. Submitting feedback does not transfer ownership of your original material to us. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information.
13. Copyright or Rights Concerns
If you believe content on the website infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, email support@singingrangetest.com with the page address, a description of the material, an explanation of your concern and enough information for us to review it. We may ask for more information where reasonably necessary.

We do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, security, privacy practices, products or future content, and a link is not necessarily an endorsement. Some website functions also depend on third-party services we do not fully control, such as hosting (Hostinger), Google’s analytics tag and fonts, browser technologies and software libraries.
15. Advertising, Affiliate Links and Commercial Content
At the time of this update, SingingRangeTest.com does not use Google AdSense or other advertising, and does not use affiliate tracking. We may introduce advertising, affiliate relationships, sponsorships or commercial partnerships in the future. If we do, we aim to disclose material relationships and update our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. Commercial relationships do not determine tool results, factual corrections, singer-range conclusions or editorial standards.
16. Availability and Changes to the Website
We may update tools, change features, modify content, redesign pages, add or remove services, temporarily suspend functionality, or discontinue a tool or page. We do not guarantee that any tool, feature, page or service will always be available. We may also correct errors or change methods when stronger evidence or better implementations become available.
17. Website Provided “As Is” and “As Available”
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its content, tools and services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, free from technical failures, perfectly accurate, suitable for every device or browser, or suitable for a particular personal or professional purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SingingRangeTest.com and its operator are not responsible for losses or damages arising solely from reliance on inaccurate or incomplete tool results, temporary site outages, browser or device incompatibility, third-party website content, user misuse of a tool, decisions based on educational estimates, or content that is later corrected or updated. You are responsible for exercising reasonable judgement when using the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. Restriction of Access
We may restrict, block or limit access where reasonably necessary to protect site security, prevent abuse, stop excessive automated requests, investigate malicious activity, enforce these Terms or comply with law. Because the main tools do not require visitor accounts, restrictions may be applied at the technical or network level.
20. Artist Names, Trademarks and Third-Party Rights
References to singers, artists, bands, songs, brands, labels or other third parties are for informational, educational, descriptive or comparative purposes. Unless expressly stated, SingingRangeTest.com is not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and their trademarks and other rights remain with their owners.
21. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Mandatory consumer, privacy, intellectual-property or other legal protections that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected, and nothing in these Terms removes rights that the law requires you to keep.
22. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it may be limited or removed to the extent necessary and the rest continues to apply where legally permitted.
23. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision, that does not mean we have permanently waived the right to enforce it later.

We may update these Terms when features, tools, services, commercial practices or legal requirements change, or when wording needs clarification. The Last updated date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after revised Terms take effect may be subject to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
